And that sums it up. I went fishing with my buddy Xavier on Friday, it was his birthday, now we didn`t catch any fish, but I think he enjoyed himself anyways...
doesn`t he look happy.
We only fished for 4 hrs and we had a good day together.
Then on Tuesday August 4, me and Tangledline hit our haunt, our home away from home. We started early enough, gettin our lines wet by 8:15am, and right off the bat Tangledline get`s a hit from a big bass. First or second cast...he took it and spit it out, and to add injury to insult, he did it again. We moved on...searching as we go to our spots, and at a quick pace, like I say we are hunting these fish, looking for signs of there passing, and following there prey to the source...we don`t find any. On we go, to another,and another...no luck. We then hit one of our hot spots from last year. I landed this little rock bass...
and thre more just like him, and just like that I am up 4 fish. It`s about this time we see the largest smallie we have seen(so I think) and we tried, Tangledline had her take it, witha quick fight she was gone...not to far though, she came back time and again to frustrate and intimidate us, she wins we move on. Back the way we come...again trying some spots here and there...sun was high, gettin hot...man oh man 30 degrees for sure. Tangledline knows theres a storm a comin...we head to another spot...we spot some bass and chace them around the water, up and down the shore from one spot to the next...and again they win...we are gettin upset. Then the gods decide to unleash a torrential rainfall on us, and like that my underwear are wet. Well I must say..not fun. We run find shelter ring out and wait for the passing...and wait, and wait. Ok it`s done, off we go, afew drops here and there, no big woop. We start working the shoreline and I come up with this little #

We move on to start the hunt all over again. we get a few minutes in, and these gods they must be crazy...they let us have it...lightning all around, a deluge is unleashed, and 2 wet fishermen are left drying themselves in a mens washroom under the hand dryers for 45 minutes while it rains and rains. once it was over we kinda had nothing left in the tanks, it was gettin late we headed for home, to do it all again tommorrow, or did we...well I did, Tangledline went on his own adventure, but thats for him to tell.

I meet my cousin there today...and Tangledline has already been there for an hour or so...We rig up and walk to meet him and start the hunt again. It was a rough afternoon of it...hit the spots and nothing, lotsa people around it`s noisy...we move on, and on, nothing going...We go insearch of the brute we saw yesterday, she`s not around. So back the way we came again. We try somwhere less noisey...less people...less sun...man oh man, I got a nice tan. We poke around and find some bass...can`t get em to bite, untill...

...If I took a picture of the big bass I caught...But Tangledline has the picture of this one and is holding it ransom. $50 he wants for it. We move on...we spot some more but can`t fish for them there...so we keep on a truckin...Cross that bridge, hit the tree in the water, and theres a competition on to catch a fish, I stay out of it...it`s between Tangledline and my cousin...My cousin wins with this little beauty...
(sorry Tangledline) We move on, No more fish were caught...or was there...Tangledline stayed whilest me and my cuz split. He was determined not to get skunked 2 days in a row, let`s only hope he succeeded, for all of our sakes.
It`s been a fun week fishing, looking forward to some more.
