Second favorite opener of the year....Ontario Bow Hunting season opens tomorrow for deer.

Stands are checked and lanes cleared. Time to break out the Hoyt and have at it.

Got all my migratory bird stuff for this year, hoping to get a out a few times. Never done deer, would love to get into it as well. I don't have enough hunter friends though. Hunting is a totally different ball of wax than fishing in Southern Ontario due to private land ownership.

One day Ill buy a rural property and shoot loads....

I have a piece of land I'm allowed to hunt on that's 5 minutes from my place here. It's 1000ft across by 25 acres long and is loaded with deer with spring fed creeks. There's a guy beside that hunts as well. And that's it. I don't go every year. I mostly go for squirrel and small game. Or just go there to shoot guns at targets.

Hoyt Dorado with Trad Tech carbon/wood limbs and pulls at 43# Sweet shooting bow. I also have a Hoyt Vector 32 compound but have switched to hunting with traditional recurve a couple of years ago. Adds that additional level of challenge....like you, really need that when bow hunting....a true stick ans string

My favorite bow was my 1970 Bear Kodiak Hunter. Still kick myself for selling it. Looking for another 68-70 model year
