OFF UPDATE...UPDATE!!!!

Ontario Fishing Forums

Help Support Ontario Fishing Forums:

Hmmm so I need a bigger float... I just got a few backs for 3.5 too :( so I'm guessing 10-12 would be better at the geen?

I would love to join everyone on this trip but I'm to busy this time of year.I've been on this site for little over a year now but I'm not very active but I've decided to join in more. Just a suggestion for the prizes, on should be for the most colorful rainbow!!!! Anyway have fun guys and if anyone fishes gorderich in the beginning of next week say hi I'll be the guy with the aventa and bare waders with a older guy with a spinning set up

Ask away! Either PM or ask through the board, I may not find the question within the forum, deep in a post or something. As for shape I haven't really messed around with that to know the difference between the float vs. its function... for me, as long as it floats its good enough

igm, because the 'geen is so large, sometimes you would want to hero drift into ChaseChromes' hole from 100 meters away, in order to do so, I would buy the floats with the fat red heads... because you can see them from a mile away... rather than the small red tipped ones. So from that website I would buy the FD Fast/Deep ( see the larger red top? ) vs. the SM Shallow/Medium, little red top exposed, harder to see how it tracks down stream through Chases' hole

Some holes you may be fishing have a fast drop off and aren't really long... so bulk shotting is necessary to get within the strike zone... grab a couple packs of huge split shot... easier to put on 1 large shot than 10 little ones.

Accomplished :)

Just respooled and stocked up On supplies just gotta tie some bags tonight and then off

So I think I'm going to head up tonight at 1 or 2 am as its a 3 hr drive from my place. If anybody wants to come with I'm coming back Saturday night before midnight and live near Pearson.

Where abouts is everyone meeting Saturday morning as I'm not familiar with the area?

Sounds good, just lemme know.

Well just got home from a great day on the Geen.....even if i did find myself smack dab in the middle of a Derby......lol

And caught my first Steelhead EVER!....no pics, no proof....just my solemn word of honour.....and it was a beautiful thing, The very helpful angler beside me told me it was a 4 or 5 pounder.

And yes i did release it......even though it would have been great to bring home and EAT IT

Hope everyone had as great a time as I did
