ive had a different experience with real/fake. Fishing for crappie on a little gravel pit I fishing was slow with plastics and fake maggots/grubs. Tried maggots on a little jig and I was able to just deadstick it.Tails from the Crypt said:Imo gulp "waxies" (imitation maggots) work just as good if not better than the real thing. And stay on the hook way longer…
Oh you're talking steelies, I was planning on using them for crappie and gills.JMatt1983 said:had a big male smash a wax worm in the spring, my float went up, not down, fish cleared the water before the float moved, was pretty awesome

I use the fake stuff strictly also. Gulp mainly. I haven't used real bait for icing panfish in years now. I can't be bothered when the fake stuff works so well!Tails from the Crypt said:were u trying the gulp ones? They rock. Power maggots suck
what do you think fish feed on??? besides smolts and minnowsShawarma said:I can't get over the fact that you're feeding these fish maggots. Maybe it's psychological but darn... Maggots.
