it has some scratches on the male sides of the rod seats--normal stiff--looks nice though---yes grub--i am out of control--wanna hit the salmon hnext year with this monster...it alsohas the fighting buut or whatever its called

there were some sage rods on e bay that were at a good price right now dont know how high they will go but they were nice

if you can get in touch with a rep, you can usually get pretty darn good prices, got my g loomis nrx for much less than retail

yes it is, the reps usually like to sell off their demo gear at the end of the season so they can make room for next years gear

ya how do you like the rod i am trying to decide between the nrx or the new sage circa and what wt do you have

the rod is amazing, i have an 8wt, on the heavy side for trout, but i also plan on other species, so the heavier wt is nice, its very light, the cork is soft and smooth on the handle, and the colour choices are nice as well, i have the forest green.


i haven't seen the sage, so i can't really compare the two unfortunately

is the one i have, and its model is the 1088, its deisgned for both fresh and saltwater so don't let the link fool you

i might have try it i have some people i know that are on g loomis pro staff and i want to cast it before i buy im looking at a new 4 wt and want something that will last a long time

thats the best way to find a decent rod, is to get out and use it, i got to try one in the spring, so i new what i was getting, i think they also come with lifetime warranty

ya they do so many rods so little money
