Today I had the day off so I went to a few urban ponds to see how they where doing with fish. At one of these ponds there must have been hundreds of small frylings on the surface which was really nice to see since the pond had a nasty scare a few years back. After watching the frylings just swimming around I noticed this dark shadow under them upon closer inspection it was a LMB just sitting there chasing bluegills and other large fish away. I have never seen that before and was wondering if all bass are like this during spawning season not that it is right now.
Also something that caught my eye I seen a purplish blue goby. Is it different from the round goby or just a mating colour.
