lol, I was gonna ask if some nice cubans are included in the smoking peeve. I recently got some cohiba mini's from a reserve booth in southampton and im loving em. Gonna have to stock up again soon, only 2 left!

I've never had anyone complain about my cigars (on the water), but then again I don't smoke Backwoods and Century Sam's. The cigarette smokers I see are usually tossing their butts in the water, not a fan of that.

another one for me is dog walkers, yes youre surrounded by trees, but you're still on city property...leashes people, if you let your dog splash threw the pool im fishing, im don't want to be held responsible for the hook in its snout

that gets me pissed too.

My dog had a recent encounter with a lure. I felt so bad at the time, but I learned my lesson. Never leave a lure out on your fishing table, accidents happen. And unfortunatly my dog and I learned the hard way. A pricey vet bill and emergency surgery is what it took for this hook removal. Before people redicule me for it, it was a mistake and lesson learned. Heres a pic

I wouldn't ridicule you. Mistakes happen. Just goes to show you can never be too careful.

I just figure someone maybe learn a lesson from my mistake. Or maybe I'm just an idiot lol..sorry for getting off topic. I leave my dog ay home when I go fishing. Unless its somewhere I know not many people will be. Plus shes not much of a fan of water, so splashing through a pool isn't something she would do. But I have had someone elses dog do this, irratating.

Don't be sorry for getting off topic every single thread goes off topic... lol

My dog can't even swim, she fell in to a pool once and just sunk, she didn't even try. :D

aww he just wanted to be trendy and have a lip piercing

and yes those early morning "duck" calls can be bad, especially when they get trapped in the waders

I was fishing a stretch of the Grand a few years ago and a guy came up and asked if I was catching anything. I told him I had caught 2 Bass and 3 Cats. ( A mistake in hind-sight.) Anyway he started fishing beside me. The pool was very big.
I decided to head downstream as I knew there was miles of fishable water. I found a new pool and 20 minutes later the same guy shows up and starts fishing beside me again  I again moved on, the fish were biting so I didn't much care. Then my stalker showed up again, I moved and he showed up again  I started to fish my way back upstream. I knew we would be leaving in the next couple of hours.
Well he left me alone until I was back at the car park and we were leaving. He showed up with a stringer with 1 nice Walleye and 3 or 4 Bass that were half a lb or less. I had been releasing 2 and 3 lb Bass all morning. AND, he had the nerve to thank me for showing him the last pool he followed me to  Lucky for him murder and a few other things are illegal and I am a law abiding citizen.
My pet peeve. Stalkers. Oh did I mention there was miles of fishable water.

Alfie.

Man, that would get anyone angry.

To be honest, other than being a little annoyed and creeped out when strangers start to "stalk" me on the river, I wouldn't be all that upset with them keeping fish from areas they spotted me fishing.

Sounds like Alfiee takes fishing more seriously than women. I guess that kind of wisdom comes with age.

I don't care whether people keep legal fish from the areas I frequent, just don't think they got to follow you around like a well train dog.

What annoyed me was this guy kept trying to fish shoulder to shoulder with me on pools that are 50 feet long, and on a river that had very few fishermen and miles of fishable water. I do like a little space when there is so much available. If I come upon someone fishing a pool that is small I give them the respect and move on. If it is a large pool then maybe I will fish, but at the opposite end of said pool. I am C and R for the most part, but if someone is properly licensed I have no objection to them keeping some fish for the table, that is their right.

As for what you said about women salmo, no. I'm not that serious. If you put your hand near a friend of mine Lauras tackle box, even by accident, you risk losing that hand. And perhaps will become deaf in one ear for a few hours :) That ain't me.

Alfie.

My #1 pet peeve is watching a DAD teach his SON how to snag salmon in the creek.

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!?!?!?!

( a friend of mine walked over and cut his line ) hahahahah

Or you get those "people" who only have a net..........no rod.....
