Pier Salmon Fishing anyone?

Hey guys, went out after the rain the other night to bronte. I did not catch but saw two fish caught and some jumping....this was about from 4:30-5:30am...so they are there.

No you did not see anything, they are not there anymore, we do not need see marshmellow'ers lining up there. OK?

this week i saw two salmon jump at ashbridges...but....the water levels and temps not right yet for the spawn..
2 weeks.....gonna take a trip to bass pro to get a bigger net...kearney broke ours netting a salmon for me last year
...the handle snapped in half....kearney complimented me that i caught a salmon too big for the net...

ps... mikey get kearney out to ashbridges in aug and sept....i don't have enough time to spend with him fishing cause of work....but he really liked salmon fishing last year....

I will be out this coming Sunday early in the morning. I mean early @ 4:30 am, I am sure that I will not be alone out there. Sat night to Sunday morning should be nice cool overnight temp.

Condition does look alright but... water gotta be muddy from crazy crazy storm we had?

I was right at the peak when it happened at the airport... it was awesome.

I am in for any type os salmon fishing anywhere, pier, shore. Just shoot me a PM if interested. Fished for salmon a few times years ago in the derby before using downriggers but since my dads buddy passed away many years ago I haven't.

Would like to learn and hook into at least one. Will return the favour by giving you an outing on Rice or Simcoe in a pimped out boat. Cheers.

When your ready to hit up the Bronte let me know. I know of a place that sells sacs for $4/dozen in Missisauga near my place I can pick em up and meet you there.

I am not sure If we have missed the run, if it was anything like last years run we def have. I havent ever pier fished, I usully hit up the rivers around here in the wee hours. Theres a couple of other spots I know about passed Ajax from Mississauga if you are interested send me a PM we'll def set something up man!

I hear that they are stacked out in the eastern piers. Most river mouths will have a run of salmon.

Gear required IMO
Spinning or bait casting reel with at least 175 yds of line
9 1/2 ft to 10 1/2 ft rod
3/4 oz glow in the dark cleos and a camera flash.
Landing net
I would gladly take your offer but I live out in the west end.

Ashbridges Bay update - I went out last night , 10 - 12 , Did not see anobody fishing there , no fish jumping , no bite & no fish.

I guess it is too early for salmon at Ahbridges ( ?? ), I'd better check out some rivers east of Toronto

Bronte harbor oakville Ontario wait till first week September. They all start to go into Bronte creek and you can hook them on the way in.

Out east is in full swing.
The air is filled with the stench of rotting salmon carcasses already. Turn off for me.
Good to see the CO patrolling the area though.
