Hey all, I thought I would share my present pinning setup. Being a college student it isn't always in best interest to buy the most expensive rig so here goes. I am using a rapala R-type pin which has been quite fun to learn on. Actually quite a lot better then expected based off of reviews. I have used loaner islanders so I know a good reel... Don't get me wrong the rtype doesn't come close but it spins well and holds up. You may be able to tell from the picture but I have this paired with my Amundson 11'6 6wt switch rod. By no means is this a perfect setup but hey I have caught chrome, coho and chinooks on it and it is definitely holding up! Tight lines all, hope to see you on the water

Awesome dude. Like they say. Make do with what you have and the great satisfaction is just catching fish. As long as you take care of your equipment. You will do just fine.
