Hey Everyone!

I'm in need of some serious help! I live in Nestor Falls, a small fishing community on Lake of the Woods, south of Kenora. We've been entered in WFN's Ultimate fishing town challenge.... and we are in second place in the final round! It's actually pretty exciting for us, especially because we only have a population of 350 and the leader has 35,000. We're really proud that we made it this far, but we would really love to win it and bring the title to Ontario (where I'm sure you would all agree that it belongs!). Port Alberni, BC is in the lead... and we can vote every 12 hours on the wfn site. http://www.wfn.tv/ultimate-fishing-town/vote/

Nestor Falls is all about fishing... it is our livelihood, and whether it's spring, summer, fall or winter, fishing puts food on our tables and it's what we love. It would really be great if we could win this... we've got over 117,000 votes!!

Port Alberni, BC has been saying some pretty nasty things about Nestor Falls and Ontario. (They called us Onterrible, and are writing on their message boards that we are hacking the website and they don't want anything to go to Ontario that should be in BC)

"I'll be mightily embarrassed should I get back from Fishing only to discover that some little back-water in OnTerrible has stolen the Title from the Best Fishing Province there is!"

Course, that fired us up a little and we've been telling everyone we can to vote... We're really just trying to share with everyone what we've got here, and now... we're also just trying to show Port Alberni that even a small town can have a lot of heart when it comes to something they love. Can you help me.... They've made it an East vs. West.... and I need your help Ontario!!!!!

Onterrible? LOL. Thats pretty judgmental of them.

I've never been to Nestor Falls specifically, but my family used to go to Lake of the Woods pretty regularly when we lived in Winnipeg. That, combined with the anti-Ontario sentiment, is enough to earn my vote. Good luck!

Thank you! We're gaining ground.... and really appreciate all of the help!

Hmmmm I live in both province and on what I can say Ontario can't compare to BC when it comes to fishing we only. Have lakes and river they have ocean, rivers and evrything so I think comming second is not a bad thing cause if you really want to go fishing Vancouver is the place to go.

Not to cause any ruckus, but I just noticed something fishy with BCs voting results. Each time I press the "refresh" page, their vote numbers get bumped up 2-3 votes every second. I HIGHLY doubt that they have that many people voting that often. I could be totally wrong, but the logic doesn't seem to add up.

Ultimate Fishing Town? Yah for sure B.C.
I mean lets face it, They have Halibut, ling cod, 5 different salmon, snapper, not to mention Steelhead, cutthroat rainbow trout. Sea run cutthroat trout. As well as many different lakes and streams.
The different fishing options and challenges in B.C. are vast and exciting. I have caught pike they fight like a log after the first 30 seconds.
And what the heck is a walleye?
The west coast of British columbia is the Ultimate Fishing Town. Hands down. That being said, Yes nice small mouth, wooopty heyyy. If your arm was longer it would look bigger, lol.
