Hey guys
I started checking out up river north of the tracks (eastern tribs) to see where the fish are at for this weekend (just hiking of course no fishing), and on Sunday afternoon, no more than a 10 minute span north of the tracks I crossed FOUR poachers. Are you kidding me? I told them all to GTFO and they all said they had no idea. Mind you, two of the guys were buddies on a Canadian Tire special set up. But the other two guys had on phantom drifts so they clearly had somewhat of an idea what they were doing..... They were all gone when I walked back down half an hour later. But... are you kidding me? It pissed me off. If you think you have the right to fish there, while I'm not sleeping at night because all I can think about is fishing there... it pisses me off. Is it worth calling the MNR? will they do anything? or a waste of my time,,.
As for the report... can't say there is much of one sadly. Saw about 1000 suckers and maybe 7 bows. This was all before that rain. Im going to be optimistic and say the rain will have let some run that haven't been able too in weeks because of this drought... and will let some of those poor guys stuck in pools come back down. In either case... an increase in meandering around in there. All the best opener guys and let me know what you do about poachers thanks.
