storm ponds can bring in some nice catches. specially after a rain. watch out for snapping turtles though, this seems to be where they mostly hang out. the bigger sizes...
 
Almost walked on top of a 18inch snapper a cpl weeks ago in the grand! He had so much seaweed growin on him, he looked like a rock.
 
This is a larger LMB on caught on another day. Because you were kind enough to show what lures you used on your bass. I'll show you what I caught it on, but I switch up all the time, trying different colours, brands, lures, etc. I find live baits work the best. The problem is tournaments only permit artificial baits, so hence I'm practice plastics and rapalas, and even mimic minnows.

I get the most bass on this worm brown colour.. The logic is that... it's the same colour as a worm... and the worms work the best. So as a plastic worm, the panfish can't nibble away the plastic and the bass still strike hard.
