you've also got to think about the effect the two feet of duck biproducts that is currently building up on the bottom of your pond will have on the fish

hehehe...

too bad though..you'll waste all the money on piranha and end up with nothing after winter since they cannot survive in colder water.

I thought this contained some decent info: Those Ducks ulimited guys I have a new found respect for!

“Have you seen the pond, what size is it, how deep is it and what is the aquatic vegetation like? In order for bass to do well they need a good forage base which typically means minnows. If conditions are not right they quickly become stunted. Also they need to be fished (caught and kept) to help control the population as they can quickly out grow the food production value of a small pond. Having said all that in the Shelburne area I would check with Douglas Newell, Hornings Mills Trout Farm (519-925-6175). He does not typically carry largemouth bass but he could either direct the landowner to someone else local or get them for the landowner. I do know that Lou Maieron at Silver Creek Aquaculture carries largemouth bass and he is located in Erin. He can be reached at 519-833-2559. Not a lot of commercial fish farms carry largemouth bass because you can go get them yourself. Most places want to sell you rainbow trout. A private landowner under a valid fishing license can catch their daily limit and use that to stock a pond as long as they get a stocking permit. The MNR stocking permit is issued by the local MNR office and is for ponds that are “connected to Ontario waters” which means if a stocked fish can get out of the pond and find its way into a stream., creek or river a permit is required. They may also require a Transfer Permit. The landowner will have to contact their local MNR office and request the need for a stocking permit. If you or the landowner have any specific questions give me a call. “

Sounds like you got some real good info there, congrats, and goodluck with your pond...LM bass would be great!!
