Ponds, small lakes in KW Elmira area. Just bought a Pelican Bass Raider

My first post. I'm hoping to find ponds, small lakes in the KW, Elmira area to fish in my 10 foot Pelican Bass Raider. I'd like to spend some times with my boys fishing.

My favourite fish are Bass. Hidden ponds that are legal to fish out of would be the best or where the owner would give permission. I appreciate any help you could give me.

Best way to find spots close to home is Google maps. Scan the area for any ponds or small lakes you may find nearby. Make a list, take a quick tour around and check them out. If they're on private property you could try knocking on the door and maybe bring a 6 pack for a bottle of wine with you. You'd be surprised where ppl Wil let you fish if you actually ask first.

Belwood lake north of Guelph would work for you. Fishing is pretty good and they let boats out. Its a conservation area so check the site and regs. https://www.grandriver.ca/en/outdoor-recreation/belwood-lake.aspx

You're going to love your bass raider. I second the belwood suggestion as a decent place to start
