I visited Port Credit and caught a salmon again.

I'll be visiting Tuesday early morning again...

Come and fish with me... I'll be the man in red hoody :)

5AM to 6AM seems to be the HOT HOUR!

Altho there are fish before and after that.

I used to fish there all the time... I can tell you that on overcast mornings the action goes another hour longer.

Hi to everyone,

I am new at Ontario Fishing Forums. I like fishing, I am not total beginner but not very seasoned fishermen either. Never had much luck with salmon. I recently bought new shimano salmon/steelhead fishing rod and I would like to give it a try.

Do you plan on fishing on Thursday or Friday morning ? If so, would it be O.K. if I join ?

ill be thursday, friday, prob saturday mornings.
will go after work, so should be there around 4.30am.

I will probably come on Friday morning.

I have never been to Port Credit - hopefully I will find the spot where you other guys are.

May I ask - what are you using, salmon eggs or spinner bait or something else ?

So far, I was only fishing for catch salmon (during salmon run) in a small creeks using salmon eggs. Any input, suggestion or advise will be much appreciated.

Hi guys, I'm from Ottawa. So therefore as you'll know we don't get any salmon here. However I'm very much interested to try to catch one.....
Anyone willing to help me out?

Hey Blacksparrow.
If you want ot give it a shot yourself, you can go to Bowmanville area, south of you,but probably a 4 hr drive. If ya decide to make the trip let me know and I can fill you in on what you need.

Hmmm.....

Wouldn't Kingston be a bit closer than that? But then again if this place you are talking about is a much hotter spot...then I'll give it a try!

Wouldn't Port Hope be closer?

I remember when visiting Port Hope for the first time last year. There were few guys in a truck fully loaded with stuff to stay few days or overnight or whatever just to fish for fresh run of salmons. They were from Ottawa aswell.
Heck,,, I've seen people in a tent @ POrt Hope!
