Port Perry Crappie BEATDOWN!

So I went right on the opener at the Port Perry boat launch, surprisingly, there was only about like 10 other people there. I was expecting well over 20 and probably close to 30..
Started out casting to the far outside with my white gulp minnow, and nothing..But believe it or not, they were no more than 2 FEET FROM SHORE. So cast parallel to shore and you are good to go for the entire night!
Took home 9 around 9 -10" nothing huge...Released WELL over 30 fish...
BTW, dock at the boat launch isn't there yet, so launching a boat may be hard at this time for now.

It doesn't look like I am going to be able to make it, my cars 5th gear is blown out so I was relying on a friend to drive who completely bailed. I'll probably be up there next Sunday though, I am trying to find a boat or a canoe even because shore fishing is only fun for so long.

i'm wondering if i should bring the canoe. might be picking up battery and trolling motor tomorrow...
probably not though. i should test it out and get used to it somewhere like keswick. calm...easy ramp to launch off of...

Sorry, I don't think I can make it tonight. From the looks of it, I need to do a lot of cleaning around my house for the next couple of days because i supposedly am going to sell the house really soon. I probably can't make it til the end of this week. Maybe next time!!

Hah! I wish!! Lol. From the looks of it, probably 5km's extra for me to drive to go fishing after I move.
