was at lebarons today and noticed they had the new rapala river rat float reels in....the reel caught my eye as it has very minimal porting and a solid backplate which i like, also protects the insides from gettin dirt in.......the reel felt very solid and very smooth, no wobble or play but the clicker isnt very strong which is common with mass produced reels.....I can honestly say the feel of this reel can compare to the high end reels out there....it seems rapala has been up on their game with their gear.....for 280 bucks this is an awesome price....anyone getting into this sport and dont want to dump a load of money into a reel this is the one.....I might pick one up for the fall salmon season.....

thanks

I love that reel! It performs really well and I am a big fan of the solid face/back plate.
