results of my weekend

so i'm back from my cottage a day early, and i must say that it was a beatiful weekend! sunday was +8 with a slight breeze, and saturday felt like+25 and was very sunny with absolutly no wind, i fished quite a bit with no luck, but got to practice my fly casting on the water wich was nice, there was no ice on the river except at the public beach, TONS of water flowing through the falls and our dock was stolen by the water, it's only a few metres from it's normal spot so we will be able to easily retrieve it ( unlike the poor soul who dock went over the fall and in trapped against in the whitewater current, whoever it was also has 10,000 dollars worth of sunken boat to take care of come summer :x ) we may not have caught fish but it was the best time i've had in months, i guess i'll have to wait two months till i can try again

yeah, it was real nice. on sunday when the river looked like a blue sheet of glass with the reflection of the clouds i just sat a nd looked out at it for ages, until my bro came and tried to push me into the water :x in the bay we have with the rock cribs, the water was so clear and smoothe that i could see every detail of the river bottom, i took quite a few pics :lol: , once again, i feel sorry for the poor soul who lost his boat, and i don't envy the him the work he is gonna have to do to get his dock and boat back, at least the boat will be back on the water if the water hasn't recked it, it wasn't ripped in half or anything like that

OH DAMN, 2 hours of driving and no fish. That stinks, but oh well, better luck next time :lol:
I've driven my share of 30 minutes to 1 hour of driving only to fish for less than an hour so far this year. Its ok :x
As long as you had fun at your cottage.
Maybe you should get your parents to get you an auger and ice fishing gear so that they can go with you too. That way, you can go to one of the many lakes that are around.

well, that's not going to happen at this time of year, too warm all the ice had huge holes and cracks in it :lol:
