Rice Lake Master
First of all I want to say I am glad to be back on the board. Not on much over the winter as I don't ice fish so that and work have made it hard to come online. Now that all species are open I will be back with some productive posts.
Fished for a couple of hours 2 weekends ago for walleye and caught half a dozen in a couple of hours, nothing that big and only managed one within the slot.
As for bass opener, I went out for 2 hours Saturday morning and caught a total of 17 bass. I lost 2 and one was the biggest of the day I think. They varied and size and the smallies had lots of spunk and put up some epic fights with many flips out of the water. Only 2 were largies and rest were all smallies. They were stacked up in a couple of spots and the action was fast and furious.
Saturday night I hit the water for about 30 minutes in front of my place until my daughter was crying for me to come back in so I manged only 2 bass with this missile.
Sunday morning it rained and really came down at times so I packed up and headed back to the city. Once again was a great opener with limited time out there. As much as I love my wife and daughter, to all the single guys, stay single and you will be able to fish more. Wish I could have been out there all day but nothing beats quality family time.
Kudos to the guys fishing through that downpour Sunday morning.
Got a couple of days off this week so will be fishing during the week. Cheers and hope you all had a great opener. See ya soon.
