Rigging live baits

Just looking for some advice on how to properly rig up live baits az I'm more of a crankbait plastics angler. What are your favorite baits for certain species and best rigging method?

I just put the worms on the hook, as long as it stays on its fine with me.
I don't really think theres many ways really to rig live bait.

Do you mean minnows? I mostly fish with lures now, but my dad bought this prerigged set up, you have the treble on the bottom and a single hook on the top (in between is a wire leader), you hook the mouth of the minnow with the single hook and stomach with the treble. When perch fishing I hook through the mouth.

Actually theres alot of ways to rig live bait...

Worms
For big cats and carp i weave 3 large nightcrawlers onto a 3/0 hook. For perch i use a tiny piece of a crawler to look like a grub on 1/32oz jigs. For walleye on jigs i use half a crawler with 1/2 the body imbedded by the hook and half dangling.

Leeches
Through the large sucker...killer for eyes and bass

Crayfish (dont often need to use them anymore)
On a jig go through the tail, about 2 armored segments in.

Minnows
Smaller minnows i put the hook through the lips unless perch or crappie are hitting crazy light, then i'll go through the back. Mid minnows i go through the lips. Huge minnows i go through the lips with a stinger through the back.

Frogs (havent used them in years)
Small elastic band a double hook so the barbs come up over its back.

Yes stinger rigs...deadly set ups...we use stinger on lakers when the are hitting short through the ice. Suprisingly enough the treble hardly ever goes deep into the fish. Many fish are easily released with no harm.(when they are hitting short on big minnows they often only get the small treble stuck in thier mouth)

egg singer behind a large swivel is a good way to put weight on the worm setup too
