My buddy has one and I am going to get one too. The most likely place where you will wreck you rod is around your vehicle; ie the classic tale of the tip that got caught in the door story. I am going to get one strictly for the transportation in the vehicle.

Anyone ever use a rod case to protect tho expensive rod and reel?

I sure want to after the purchase of my new trout outfitt!!!

I was looking at cases at Lebaron and they only have one that 54" :(/> which is not enough for my 13-6" rod and when taken apart it's 60" each.

What do you find the pro and cons of rod cases and do you think it's wroth it money?

I'm still on the hunt for one! And I'm sure I want one to protect my toys :)/>
I use the sock and an old rod tube I had that fits my new 13'6 Raven. I agree with Redneckchromer- you can make your own. I made one years ago for a one piece 6'6 musky rod I have. It was easy and cheap.I just set up streamside if the walk in is bad, it doesn't take too long to set up. I need to devise some quick way to rig and derig without removing all my shots, hooks etc. I suppose you could make a tube and slot one end so you could leave the reel on.Hmmm...that gives me an idea
