Rouge Hill Beach Park(Marsh&Mouth)

I went today to give update on fishing for steelhead on Rouge park's mouth.But the main park entrance gate was closed.I went there couple weeks ago and it was close too.I did not wanted to walk all the way to mouth + it was raining so i decided to leave.I have found direction to enter park from other side.I will go tomorrow morning and will give you update.By mean time,check out the park pic if you never had chance to look.i have attached pic of water body & marked where you will catch what type of fish.My self & other have caught big catfish,bass,pike,carp from here.
The best time to fish here is right after sunrise & eve.You find lots of people fishing here.i mean lot's.The most effective bait was worm and live leech.Spinner,crackbait didn't work as there is lots of weeds in the bottom.
We can see from the gate they are constructing new deck for fishing.Last summer we saw people working on this park.Man it is very huge deck they are making.I think this year it is gona be great fishing here at Rouge.Enjoy!

thanks for the status of this location and all the extra info. i had no clue they were making a fishing dock!

don't forget that this spot gets a fair run of salmon during the fall season as well. I was there last year and there were a bunch of fishermen. unfortunately, i got skunked... a number of times. :mrgreen:

Rouge Park(Mouth) Update
I tried today to go to mouth of rouge by alternate way.But when i reached the place it was all wire fenced.Cannot go down to the mouth.The only way to go to this mouth is to park you car at park entrance and walk all the way to mouth.I will try to go mouth later this week and will give update.
