Comrade...You don't need a Russian Passport to fish the Sutton River in Ontario for mouse eating Coaster Brook Trout & they have Polar Bears! :wink:
But it's still very expensive to say the least even if it is in Ontario the Nipigon River is far more affordable and Black Bears are bad enough!

i know but just to fish a river thats almost never been fish would be the thrill of a lifetime

They probably have death penalty for keeping those fish, to save the fishery in Russia. Or maybe its those I see here that keep everything and ruin a pool in seconds. Had to abandon a few of my favorite rivers and spots all together as the Russians discovered them ...with respect to all!

Oh, c'mon folks, you are still running like 50 years old See Kings to patrol Canada's marine borders. What can be more rustic than that???

And yes, such a trip is going to be pretty expensive, with the leg between Toronto and Moscow being by far the cheapest one.
