Fish Ooooonnnn
using mono as a main line is stone age. no offense
you get better sensitivity and better hooksets when using braid, and i wont even go into casting distance.

ha ha .
I'm sure your right.
And I'm sure you've heard at work and probably your own father say.
We've been doing things this way for years.Dont fix what's not broken. lol
Truth is arthritic fingers not a great match for more knots.
Eye sight ,back issues.
I can't fish more than 2 hrs nowadays with out a back support belt.lol
And I'm sure you get more fish an outing with your fluorocarbon?
I can't even spell it. lol
But we All enjoy a day on the water.

Buddy of mine Dads 79 now.
You give him a spinner on the Ganny opening day and he'll pull a fish out of your waders.
Smile ear to ear.
That's what it's all about.

That's awsome to hear my grandfather was 89 before he passed away fished the salmon run that year and cought tons of fish. The next spring he passed away but it was awsome to see.

Your joking right? braid is just overkill stupid need it because I can't fight a fish properly kind of guy.

Casting Distance hardly true unless your stuck in the 10-20ft casting ability contest.

Hook set, sure because you have no give because you fish with cable guy.

both have valid arguments imo. no need to get hostile in such a simple thread. I would agree that chucking spoons, braided will have a better castability but it does give a lot of tightness to the fight and may cause bent hooks compared to mono. to each his own and both setups would work. I use mono over braid too.

Hey guy how gose the fishing last week or so I been out with mixed results again. But more consistent days have been my normal now wondering how it's been for you guys

Yup anywhere from 10-20 lb power pro braid to 12-15 pound Seagur blue fluorocarbon.
