Hi all

I know this should be in the Welcome catagory, but I think most guys come to the General.

I was just wondering how many OFF members are in the Scarborough area. I'm near Kennedy and St. Clair.

Usually I go out to Trenton in the summer and fish the tribs in fall. No luck so far with the bows/browns on spinning. I got a couple of fly rods but don't use them much, never caught anything with them so went back to spinning.

Good fishing all. :D

I'm in Scarborough area too! Only had luck in my first time steelheading. Been skunked ever since!

Scarborough southwest near the bluffs. Summer usually fish northern ontario or the kawarthas, First year fishing tribs/pinning. Steelhead addiction is growing.

Atleast you caught one, nice going. I have been trying for years, yet to get my first, and then gave up until this forum gave me hope. So many good tips and knowledgable guys willing to help. I may try later this week. Hope your luck improves. :D

So you're near me I'm 10 min from the bluffs. Meppsman caught some salmon at the bluffs a few weeks ago. Summer I go to the kawarthas too, this year only hit scugog and rice. Hope I get my outboard going for next summer. Inflatables are great for getting into really shallow bass areas. I hit the tribs with spinning, my center pin is one I built in college way way back, it was more of an experiment to see if I could build one. It's rough but works with a fly rod....lol. So just use spinning.

Work near Midland and Finch and parents live in the Kennedy and Huntingwood area. So I am always here even though I live in Durham.

I'm from Scarborough too !
Birchmount rd & Ellesmere.
I have a trailer up on Chemong Lake (Chemung as the natives call it), so thats where I fish mostly in the summer.
My sleeper hut goes out on Simcoe for the hard water.
The spring and fall is time spent hitting the tribs from here to bowmanville.

No smallies yet, haven't been out since boat came home. I am thinking this week or the weekend but definitely before the end of the season. Already gave the wife the heads up so she is OK with it.....LOL

A buudy of mine was at the spot I told you about on the north shore a couple of days ago and started fishing at about 10:30pm at night and caught 1 walleye and 2 rock bass in a few hours. I think the other spot on the south shore could be productive right now also.

Depending on what bait you use, you should be able to catch perch and crappie also, maybe even a bass or two.

Cool thx for the positive update. I'm going to bring my fly rod.......get a walleye on that........I hope....or just crappie. I'm gonna pick up some worms, and my stand by plastic grubs. Wish me luck! Gonna be cold at night.
