What are you fishing them for ? Bass? Musky? If so what for ? Swim baits, crankin, flipping? They are an excellent entry level and intermediate rod.. And even professional in some uses. Ive had 2 with no issues, for crankin and topwater.. I mutually have heard of tips breaking but looked into it and have read and heard that it is mainly tournament fishermen hammering a hookset.. If you are fishing recreationally with these i think you will be fine.. Use the proper line strength and take care of them. Dont be afraid To set hook however, just take it into thought that youre not poppin a hookset worth thousands..

I've used it as my medium multi-species rod for as long as I can remember and I am happy with it. I used to have the 6'6 until I lost that rod to the Turkey Point Marina and I replaced it with the 7'. I was much happier with the 6'6 as it was much more sensitive than the 7'. The 7' is also kinda whippy and I find it more difficult to cast accurately.

Nothing against bass pro im sure there stuff is good... I just dont trust them. I would go shimano for overall quality/versatility/potential to be an outstanding rod.. Theyve got a great platform and are trusted by many. That being said i have no used the bps rod so i am not against it, try to get to the store and hold them both. But if i were ordering online for example without having seen the two, i would go compre.

Ive heard alot of great things about the rod. I considered buying it, but i didnt like how it felt in my hand but thats just my personal opinion.
