Atlantics are not summer spawners. Fall in my experience in NL and NB. And also if you do a quick Google.
Agreed about the cooler water being benefical, but it wouldn't harm any of the other trout or salmon either. Or any native fish for that matter.

As for April, is she single? Or where can I find one like her? Lol.

Alfie.

I have mentioned before that the Latin name for Atlantics translates to "the leaper ", in English.
Fantastic fish and would love to be able to catch them here. I have hooked them on the East Coast on dry flies were I have had to look 3 ft over my head to watch that first leap. And second, and third.
I would welcome them to our waters.

Anyone know how many episodes are in this series?
8 I believe. I was Pming her on Twitter back before Christmas and she told me but I deleted the conversation. But I am pretty sure its 8 episodes.

gotta say I was pretty disappointed with that last episode. 30 minutes and the only fish caught was a grilse salmon??

I'm sure it's her husband she has to convince to let her out go go fishing.
Hes as hardcore as her. They live in new zealand 6 months out of the year and BC the other 6 months.

its still an atlantic salmon, its like our Jack salmon,

also, its a 10 part series

It's either Vokey whipping that rod or Mariko eating ice cream on WFN for me...other than that. WFN is loaded on how to catch bass or fly fishing for trout.

Mariko is beautiful and fun to watch but I just dont see the same passion that Vokey has.

I just added 20 channels to my cable package, mainly for Big East college hoops.
WFN was included. From what I've seen I will enjoy this unexpected bonus.
I watched Shorelines today for the first time. It is a great show. Not just fish after fish. Excellent discussion of meaningful topics. April is a beautiful woman and very knowledgeable about fishing. I could be wrong, but I don't think she was showed catching a chrome on this episode.
Her guests did.
Is that not what fishing is all about tho? Being out with friends in the most beautiful places nature can provide?
To me a caught fish is a bonus.

Alfie.

Thats exactly right Alfie. Shorelines is not a highlight reel style show, its more of an educational one. I love the stories from her guests, and the background information. The quality of video footage is amazing.

Another show you would enjoy is King of the River.

Thanks, I'll watch for it.
Looking forward to 50 places to fly fish in a half hour.
