Should I take the plunge? - Simms G3 waders

Help Support Ontario Fishing Forums:

Thanks for that advice guys. How loose should the Simms fit? How loose should the booties fit? If I am going to get them, I want to make sure I get the perfect size! I am pretty sure I am a large...

They should fit to size close to the size of your shoe but alittle room to breathe and to put on extra socks for winter steel heading the boots are where the difference is you usually go a size bigger the legs should fit like pants you don't want them to lose or to tight try on a few sizes to find the one that fits best and walk around in them squat down sit down to make sure they are comfortable and don't restrict movement who wants to spend. 500 dollars and have them be uncomfortable that would be a piss off in my eyes

I just bought a set of Bare neo's for $25. If they leak, so will the sellers windows.
you're buying used waders and expect them to be in brand new condition?

please tell other members what would you do to them if they gave you a fishing spot or advice and it would not work out as you wish it would.

Haha clearly taking this out of context.

The comment was directed @ the member from whom I bought the waders from and a friendly joke. I am buying used waders yes, as DESCRIBED NEW CONDITION (Used twice) so I am not expecting to be popping tags, but also not expecting holes.

100% was. Ask Remyboy
It's all good and I apologize for comming off as wanting to hard someone over a deal. Not my style or intent. Just a harmess poke at fun.

I would think this thread goes in hand with:
So What Do You Do For A Living???
I know for myself I could not justify purchasing $500 waders.
Yea its steep but saving up helps. Also, I tend to wait until the sportsman show here in Anchorage to do any large purhcases. I purhcased my G3's from the sportsman's show. All the local fly shops have booths there and deals are abundant. I purchased my g3's at full price but receievd Simms wading pants and a Simms sweater with a wallet. Pretty cool. Both the pants and sweater are $100 each.

All this great advice has really helped me make up my mind. I think I am going to pick up a pair of the Simms G3 convertibles next week.

Psst - Orvis pro guides are on sale for $198 on their website. Huge sale on lots of stuff on their website in fact.
