Snapping turtle sun bathing and a mink eating a carp

While I was trolling I saw what I thought was a big rock in the mud on the shore. Turns out it was a dried out turtle. I thought it was dead. Turns out he was just chilling and soaking up the rays.

Then further downstream I saw a mink eating a dead carp. I think it was a mink.

i was actually thinking of picking it up out of curiosity but from what i know, they're necks have a long reach so i decided to err on the side of caution.

but the shell was probably 18 inches long at least.
