Nope Went out to Valens and Christie conservation area near brantford and got skunked for anything good (few tiny catfish but nothing worth talking about)

I was lucky enough to go 1/2 yesterday. I would guess it weighed about 8 pounds. Probably my biggest fish from the credit.

Valens is great icefishing haven't been any other time. crappie and pike right?


I was fishing crappie and lm bass shore fishing tried everything from drop shots cranks tops even went to worms and still horrible results.

Yeah was going for pike mainly.

funny story, at bass opener a few buddies and I went to Chrisite and I watched a big pike follow my little pink crankbait all the way into shore. At shore, he bit and took my lure as I was using mono with no leader......Fast forward to Saturday, and what lure do I find on a branch in the hole I had the pike in!!! What are the chances of that! So even though we didnt get any decent fish, finding that crankbait made my day.

Went out for 2 hrs. today. Got 6 bass report to come.

Had a banner day for Pike saturday. Lost a few bigguns, boated about a dozen in 3 hours. All between 2-5lbs. Fished St Lawrence river, got them all on big body baits like clackin' raps, husky jerks and glidin' raps. Went back the next day, same spot and only got a few.
