meiser spey with a speyco reel. good workhorses made by craftsman. having an old hardy or fancy sage doesnt do it for me. my pin is a from a small run made by hand in brampton and at least the coin in goin right in the man that made it's hands

Wow some really nice stuff being mentioned. Also great to see Canadian craftsmen .

Ok so A lot of people think that they need to be really expensive to have dream rods but the fact of the matter is, you can have some of the best quality rods/reels for cheaper than you may think! my current frequent combos consist of a lot of CARBONLITE gear.

The rod I use at the 6'8-7' legth MHXF for drop shots because the great tip with great backbone.

The other rod I use for bass in heavy weeds, is the lower model johnny morris signature series.

Medium Heavy Fast action

As for Baitcasts I use identical rods but the reels I own are as followed.

I use the 7.1:1 Ratio right handed reel

I do however have a Carrot Stix rod BUT DO NOT BUY IT ANYWHERE OTHER THAN BPS! Make sure you buy it at BPS with their warranty! Carrot Stix customer service is the worst and you will never get a return on their product from them!

Attatched to this rod I have a Daiwa Aird

I dislike this reel but I barely use the carrot stix rod so it just sits on my boat most of the time.
