Solo Double Header?!

I got an invite from an amazing member of one of the forums I am on to fish a lake X bass lake he has in Quebec. He was extremely dissapointed in our 50 fish day that only saw one highlight.

I laughed at his dissapointment - my arms are still sore 2 days later from all the hook sets. BUT when he said he would make it up to me and bring me back again when the "fishing will be better" I wasn't going to argue with him.

Now he said there were lots of bass in the lake but after landing these on my 3rd cast he could have said the sky was purple and I would probably believe him.

Has anyone has this happen before?? Feel free to share pictures and/or stories if you have them. HILARIOUS!

Just a quick little report about a day meeting a new friend and a true first for me.

ive had this happen with salmon when i had 2 flies on my rod and on a back cast the fly hit the water and a salmon took it THEN WHILE IT TOOK OFF ANOTHER SALMON TOOK THE SECOND FLY and this was all my first fish on a fly rod and it was a 5wt too! so now im hooked, and i did somehow manage to land both couldnt get pics because after i unhooked one the other flopped back into the creek and got away

I love solo double headers, although I've only had them when ice fishing for perch. CT that must have been insane!

catfish it was soo freaking epic. i thought i had 1 huge monster but it was 2 !!! If i was 18 i woulda bought a lottery ticket lol and the best part was that i only had a 6lb leader !!!

two shaker chinnys on a rigging setup, one fish on the main spoon one on the cheater. weve had it happen a few times this year lol

I've had one solo double header. Was in this pike infested lake up north. Had a few funny things happen to us that day.

1. First on the half portage half wading through pushing canoe through weeds to get to the lake. my lil cousin thought he was cleaver by not helping us push.. sitting in the canoe with his hand in the water. a lil pike came up and bit his hand... hes screaming waving his hand around with the tiniest pike i ever seen on it.. it chewed two fingers up pretty bad.

2. Had one solo double header, you could see at times two or three pike fighting for the same lure as you reeled it in. Guess 2 got it at the same time. Was on a big black and white dare devil. Weirdest thing i ever saw two pike on one lure. Wasn't much of a fight though felt more like dragging a big log in.

3. caught the same pike 3 times . The first time he got a lil lip damage so he was easy to recognise by days end we caught him 2 more time. Guess that lip damage isnt gonna effect his eating.

4. After my cousin bitching about he fingers for an hour we left him on the tiny island in the middle of the lake for the rest of the day (he wasn't impressed) We did leave him with fishing tackle, two bottles of water and a sandwich. So we aren't that mean. lol... he sure didn't look to happy when we picked him up though... lol

oh ya and one more thing ...lol as he was getting on the canoe from this large rock the boat started to move away and he kinda had one leg in the canoe the other on the rock and doing the classic splits.... well you guessed it .. he falls in backwards into the lake.... omg... lol this was the funniest fishing day ever.


Moral of the story... help others push the boat and don't be a lazy butt cause karma will GIT YOU!!!

I aught 2 bass on a Big O a few years back---1 on the front treble, 1 on the back. The small 1 hooked first, so I was reeling in what I thought was a small bass, then it seemed like quite a big bass---That must've been after the bigger 1 struck. Not monsters like yours, though.
