nice fish!! some very good eats right there. is that a burbot laying next to the 3lakers?
ya thats a ling/burbot, from a lake in muskoka, the whities are from the lake that i was talking about with shallow whities, the bigger lakers aren't very good to eat but the smaller lakers are perfect, whities ill take any size, lol.

I have had river lake trout and I have had iced lake trout and to me, I will C and R any lake trout I ever catch again lol. But nice man!!

really? i find lakers one of the tastier trout, better than steelhead for sure IMO. got nothing on the taste of specks or splake though

Burnout /bowfin/ling cod what ever you want to call it is a tasty fish ;)
Bowfin is a different fish from burbot, or fresh water ling cod.

Small lakers from northern lakes taste OK. Lakers out of simcoe are way to oily and don't taste very good IMO. They are edible though if you season the crap outta them.

Yep bowfin and ling are different. A burnout is a guy,not a fish!
always was told they were the same !! But your right googled it and they are different
