Some of you have probably already seen most of these shots, but I'll throw them up here so you guys can check out some of the amazing fishing we have on the other side of Canada.

Most amazing water I've fished.

Post #4, Pic #1....please explain further lol

I casted it out...and let it drift. Once my offering hit the zone (a few seconds into drift), float shot down and I set the hook. Felt weight, but I pulled it out of it's mouth.
Retrieved and cast it out again to hit the same line I was drifting. At the same spot, my float shot down again and I set the hook into a feisty one.
After a nice battle, it finally showed itself and that was when I realized it had two 12" cutthroat in it's mouth.
It was still trying to swallow/digest these two trout and still took my offering. Twice. LOL.

These fish are dropping back after the spawn in the tribs and are seriously munching.
They are eating cutthroat, kokanne salmon, resident rainbows, and mountain whitefish. They are the sharks of the rivers. :)

wow! I can only imagine the fight of a fish that goes for prey like that. Im sure that one would have fought much harder without two 12" cuthroat in its mouth though lol!

Did you guys hire a guide or did you just do alot of research? What were the killer baits out there?

No guide. I have a friend who moved out to BC.
He put us on the water and of course the fish as well. Definitely would've had a much harder time finding them without his help.
Most of the guides out there are in drift boats, etc.
Don't really see many shore anglers.
We definitely outfished the guides that were working same stretches though :)

There are lots of regulations to be followed out there.
Only single barbless hooks are allowed.
Bait ban until Nov 1.
Only artificials may be used (must be non-scented)
We changed things up and used a variety of stuff:
streamers, flies, bucktails, spoons, non-scented plastics (minnow imitations, tubes, twister tails, etc)

Those are bull trout, correct?

Correct.

Thanks for posting the Photos... I drove out there in the summer and it was shots like those that inspired me to start fishing again.

Vancouver Island, Tofino was awesome
