I forgot about it until it was ice fishing season again. I remember last year I saw 1 guy sitting on a snow tube drilling a hole beside it and started fishing. I asked him what gave him the idea and it looks fun and cool. He said He tosses all his equipment (manual auger & tackle) and didn't have time to buy a utility sled. So I just told him why bother if he already has that. lol. Would love to try that but I guess only if I already have the snow tube...which i don't. they aren't cheap as well.

id like to try ice fishing at one of the g-bay river mouths for steelies, never ice fished for steelies in big lakes, just small back lakes, but the river mouths does seem like an interesting idea.

Ice fishing as a whole will be new to us this winter.
As part of ash's gift I got her a set while on sale at CT. Got the Berkley lighting set.

Just need to find a guide or someone with experience on the ice.

Good kit, still use my rods. Not that hard to ice fish panfish, big game it's a good idea to get someone who knows their stuff though.

perchin is easy, i usually scope out my ice fishing areas while its still warm just put a small minnow on a small sided hook, drop to bottom reel 3-4 times and then jig it a little every now and then

for me id like to try ice fishing, never gotten any good opportunities. any ice fishing really.
I just wanna see what its all about and maybe get some dinner in the process ;)
