I know Steely season is here but since it still feels like summer, thought I'd throw a few speck pics on here... Don't worry, steelhead pics to come :D

Good stuff!

Amazing steelhead run today where I was fishing. Even saw female steelies lay eggs, and a male chinook attempting to fertilize a female brown's eggs!

Beautiful Specs!
Last time I got them around that size was in Algonquin Park.

If you can keep that kind of action up ... no need to hurry the Steelies.
I hope to see some more of these fine fish!

Very nice! Biggest Speck I ever caught were 10" and very skinny. You should try using the new photo uploader to avoid the oversized pictures.

Hey beef is that from your place up near Thunder Bay? Those are nice ones. I personally think Specks are one of the most precious creatures on planet earth. They are becoming so rare in S. Ont. I grew up fishing them at Hwy 24 in Caledon and in Algonquin and Sundridge. Now I have to travel 8 or 9 hours to get nice Specks. I got a 3.5 lber last year north east of the Soo, my biggest ever. I had one that would have gone 5 but the kid manning the net knocked the hook out of its mouth :(
Have always dreamed of fishing the Nipigon. They, who ever they are, say that if anyone is going to break the world record it will come from the Nipigon.

I have done numerous fly in trips. Temagami, Elliot Lake, Kap and the Soo, you name it.. I would do one and I'm sure my friend Scott would be there. Specks? I would do anything for Specks. Let me know. I will arrange it,I also have another suspect who may want to go.

Alfred.
