So I haven't had any luck with spoons so far. Not a single thing. All the while, fishermen right next to me are having success with a wide variety of spoons.
I am now convinced that it's my reeling style. I tend towards slower reeling (just under 1 turn a second which translates to about 2 feet/second on my particular reel) and was wondering if maybe I'm giving the fish too good a look at the spoon and exposing it for the fake that it is? Should I be reeling faster or slower? Steady or stop-and-go? Help...
