Hey All,

After some exploring I was able to find some salmon on the river, but my attempts to catch failed try some lures and fake roe eggs, but all it did was spook the fish up the rive, it was awsom to see the fish swim up splashing water...

Any advice how would you catch that fela on the video.

I pretty much stop fishing for salmon once they are up the river. They almost completely stop eating and will ignore most things that you throw at them. Plus it's just not the same thrill as catching an elusive steelhead in the river. However one thing that has worked for me before are egg sucking leach flies. Find a pool and give it a try.

As river fishing goes ... if you can see the fish .. the fish can see you . Stealth is sometimes productive , so squat if you have to , stay as low as you can or depending on the flow , fish from above and drift down to the fish , then all it sees is your bait coming down current .

Believe it or not I actually squat down in the brush a lot when I'm fishing for salmon. If you want them to actually bite a lure or something else, they must not be spooked! Not even one bit!

If you can get downstream of them and cast WAY past them, thus eliminating dragging your float over them when you reel in to cast.
