Going up to the soo for work next week. Looking to catch a fish or 2. I read brook trout is closed as of yesterday but there's a ton of lakes open all year. I'll be shore fishing possibly bring waders.

Not asking for any honey holes but if someone would be so kind to point me in the direction of somewhere I could kill a bit of time I'd be forever grateful. If there's nothing decent for trout within a short drive or ridiculous hike I'll even try for some smallies or a small trib for salmon/steelhead.

Not looking to fish the Mary river.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure bit I get the feeling it may be shoulder to shoulder considering a quick Google search and it comes right up.

I'm not into that at all, more of a small creek guy. And I'm not even sure I'll be bringing waders because of the whole work van and tools situation.

But we'll see. I think the hotel is right down the road so maybe I'll check it out. What would one expect to catch right now? Pinks? Chinook? Bows just starting?

PM me and I'll show you a map to a great little over looked mini lake that has monsters swimming around.
