Thanks to everyone who answer my previous post...so I'm starting off on the credit this Saturday and I believe trout is open everywhere on the river but please correct me if I'm wrong. Was looking for info on how far north it's worth traveling. Should I stick to erindale and south or bother going north as far as passed the 401 bridge? I drive over it all the time and looks really tempting. Any comments or suggestions to a respectful fisherman are much appreciated 😁 thanks again

Haha Im new but I know that much that's why I was asking if going north is an option not sure of trout movements and timing I guess that's what I should be asking lol so anybody?

im just busting balls lol

people dont like to talk about what stretches are good or not bud, but i assure you if you put in some legwork, youll find plenty of good spots north of the "all-year" areas.

steelheads good all the way up to norval dam. any area between there and the lake will have potential for a good day. exploration pays off.

good luck

So thanks to everyone who helped me out this past week I caught my first rainbow...
Just to show this forum does work! ;)
Thanks to Mr BearInTheWoods specifically lol

Glad to hear and good job. Just a note, that fish in the photo is a brown trout.

The upside down picture might be throwing me off but it looks like a brown to me. Either way nice fish, you are officially hooked.

Edit: Posted at the same time as Balt, thanks for reassuring me lol.

Thanks for the correction boys! Shows how much I know about trout! I'll catch them you name them lol
Bows and Browns run at the same time? Or was that just a lucky catch?

Brown and beautiful. To be honest with you. I'd prefer catching them than bows...but that's just me.

Eh man beautiful fish, not many people will get as lucky on their first trout run outing

Thought I was putting you on steel but that looks just as good man
