For all of you that use this line:

Do you find the 8lb is strong enough, or should I go with the 10lb? The leader material I use is normally 5-6lb drennan flouro, so I don't want to be blowing my main before the leader.

I'm planning to buy a bulk spool of this stuff so want to get some input before purchasing.

Cheers

I just tried the 8 lb yesterday very impressed with the line.
I used the 8 lb main line, 6 lb shot line and 5.5 phantom flouro.
Only one outing but the 8 lb was really supple and not much line memory as I side cast a lot.
I was in the same boat as yourself as to order a large spool or not. I liked the line so I order 6lb spools.
I think the thinner line will really help in windy conditions

Float Drifter and I were disucssing this via pm so I know he has tired the line so maybe he will chime in

Yeah I spoke with him and he said the same thing. Thanks for the reply though. hmm.

Wanting some input from anyone who has used the 10lb.

used to use 6 and 8 for main but now always 10 or 12 i think the increased surface area helps it float better plus when a fish gets into the wood its nice to have a little extra. however i think the heavier line drags alittle more in high wind. never used suffix but know lots who do i run berkley ironsilk or xt both in phantomgreen

cj like i told u for me 8 is fine, then again i use frog hair for my leader. 8 wont cut it for you since u are using drennan. u might have to go up to 10lb if u dont want to blow your leader
im fine with 8 its the thickest diameter i used since i ran ande last fall if anything im gettin more of 6lb  line is very good yet to find and flaws with it. no line twist on my 4th day of fishin

If you go for 10lb main can I pay u to spool my reel and test it out? lol This talk of no line twist has me excited.

Not sure if this is any value to u but with Raven I like the 10lb because it gives me more flexability with my leader. If im fishing in near chocolate milk conditions its nice to have the option to throw an 8lb leader on the line.
