I want to take my four year old nephew fishing for his birthday. He's been DRILLING me with questions all the time for when I'm going to take him and I think I'm going to surprise him tomorrow and take him. I went around the credit river today in Mississauga and in Centennial park in etobicoke but not a single bite. I heard Centennial park has little to nothing but I wanted to see it for myself and Credit River (on the Erindale park side) water was EXTREMELY low so I just wanna bring him somewhere where we can get a couple of sunfish and stuff like that (keeping me busy wouldn't hurt either :p) . If you guys have suggestions for any pond in mississauga or brampton or oakville i would really appreciate it! 30 min drive from square one would be my range!

Thanks in advance! :)

Just realized that this might be in the wrong thread section, sorry guys!

I think Professor's Lake might be a good choice, I haven't been this year though.
I went fishing in Brampton today and barely got any action, don't know if it was the time.
The Credit in Erindale gets low in the summer, it gets back deeper in the spring.
I've caught some bullhead catfish at Centennial Park pond.

Cool, thanks! Never heard of there before, was thinking of trying out Loafers Lake too... haven't heard much from it but might try it out!

You can also try heart lake. You have to pay a fee to get in the park and fish but almost guaranteed to catch something. Plenty of sunfish, good bass, and if you are lucky, trout! Google it and you will find it. Go with worms

lake aquataine has fish but theyre really hard to catch ive heard the bass come up to eat in the evening good luck

I took them and ended up catching just a few sunfish and I saw 3 huge carp swimming around together but couldn't get any luck. For the kids anyways but they wanna go again tomorrow so mission successful!

Try the Brickworks in Toronto, tons of huge sunfish and small mouth. My 4 year old and 8 year old loved it...
You are allowed to fish there right off the docks.. Tons of big snapping turtles there as well. Bonus is it has a restaurant and washrooms.

You won't be disappointed.

Cheers,
John
