Because of gas / oil involved (polluting the lake) they might have to remove it right away at the owners expense. It gets kind of pricey.
 
So the moral here is, if you're outta perch in January and there's no safe ice nearby, go to Loblaws and spend as much as you need for a good perch feed, and feel good about it, because you will still come out way on top :lol:

Sad fact is though with this mild start and snow cover probably a couple more yet.. let's hope the next guy stays dry also.

True, this could have ended worse, how far out was he planning to go...?
 
Requires diver and a float bag clipped under the frame by the axles. Wont be the first time i have had to do this;)) thankfully none have been my own.
 
Sounds inconvenient just thinking about it aha!

Hopefully everyone stays safe this year and the lady has had her appetite for the season!
