I got out last Saturday on a GB trib for a couple hours when we had that day of mild temperatures. Thought I would give it a whirl, since it was forecasting for some pretty ugly weather this week. I haven't had much luck on my last 3 outings, loosing all hook ups in about half a minute. The weather was decent about 4 or 5 degrees above zero, and raining slightly. My buddy caught a dark fish further up stream on roe, so I thought I would offer something a little different. Dew worms have always been my go to bait ever since I was a kid, so I put a half on with an orange bead. At about 1:30 in the afternoon I hooked and landed my first fish of 2013 in some slack water off of the main current. It sure was nice to get it on the new setup. I would recommend the Rainshadow blank as an excellent steelheading rod! Tonnes of power with this beauty. Anyways, never have I caught a fish with such beautiful colouration.
