Those darn mosquitos...

I second the use of a buff. You can buy some shirts from Columbia and a few other companies that have a repellent-like behaviour manufactured into the shirt (lasts a certain amount of washes). I used the Columbia one and was quite happy with how it worked :)

Haha Buff is sending us some of these to test out. In fish patterns. Largie, Pike and Browns patterns.. Pretty stoked.

I use the spray Off insect repellant. It doesn't last long but then again I usually fish 4-6 hours which pretty much is how long the repellant lasts. besides I usually use a buff...

Cover up, repellant ( 100% DEET, citronella oil, I'm hearing about some products made by Bens? ), the worse you smell the better, don't eat bananas and keep moving - once the mosquitoes find you move. Saliva to relieve the itch for a bit. Being hunted sucks

I was wearing a nike dryfit hoody last weekend, but forgot the repellant. There were swarms all around, but it seemed the hoody made my heat signature invisible for most of the day. The only thing they saw were my fingers, so as long as I tucked them into the sleeves, they were fine. Eventually after I worked up a sweat, then they started seeing me. So it seems for the most part if you are staying in one spot you can minimize your bloody attractiveness.

I always avoided OFF because I was sure the fish could smell the DEET, but maybe thats my superstition. Skin-so-soft seemed to work ok for bugs with no fish repulsiveness.

Jase - you're covered up with hair and a beard for a face mask - no mosquito in penetrating that

I got a carp buff

Vitamin B patches work well. I buy the 100% deet bug spray in Michigan; between those 2, I'm usually fine thru any kind of swarm.

You could also invest in a Thermacell, they run about $20 on Amazon, and work exceptionally well. You could leave it on the ground near your feet, provided you're not wading.
