Fishing Toronto harbour is always something I have wanted to do ever since I saw in one of my magazines a guy holding maybe a 10 pound pike with the CN tower in the background. I was on one of those dinner cruises on September 4th of this year and went on a tour through the islands around Center Island. Me being a fisherman I couldnt help but check in the water and was surprised at what I say. I saw probably close to 10 largemouth bass cruising the edge ranging from 2 pounds to maybe 5 pounds. It looks untouched and was wondering if your allowed to fish there. There is a cop station on the edge and i see them patrolling the area often.

Keep a look out for "No Fishing" signs that may be there. City council wanted to ban fishing in toronto harbour, $2000 fine if caught. I don't know the results of the council as I never fished there either. Now there are reports that the Scarborough Bluffs have the same "No Fishing" areas. Seems toronto is on a anti-fishing trend.

Watch where you dip your line. Toronto the good has become, Toronto the no good fishing.

Ban was lifted. Harbourfront centre got carried away trying to resurrect an old TPA rule.... without the TPA's ok.

It's a bit late in the season to hit the islands this year. check your PM's.
