Well it's that time of year again! Time for the annual Toronto Sportsmanshow! An awesome place to head out for a day and take a look into all things outdoors. Also an awesome way to pickup some bonus gear with all the free handouts you can often find around! 😏 Anyone heading over for a day or even running a booth? Im starting to get excited I love the show!

almost sounds like an advertiser for a crappy show, its gotten worse and worse and smaller and smaller every year
mmmm i dunno. I agree with that but at the same time I love going just to be around an outdoorsy summer feeling with boats and stuff around. Worth a trip if you have nothing else to do but I still love going either way! :)

would rather go to the spring fishing and boat show

I agree that it's gone downhill, but why don't you guys come down to see us at the Izaak Walton section? It's always good to talk to other fly fishermen there!

It's just promoting the club, I believe we will have a casting lane, the kids tie booth, some well known tyers demonstrating and I think there may even be some demo rods to test cast.

After last year hell no. I mainly went to meet cc. The cost to get in was 60% of the amount of stuff I could find to buy. Unless you live no where near a fishing store, save your money and gas. Mind you, I didn't even pay parking. Plus the fact one of the major and best stores won't be there any more. Talking about tightlines. Sometimes good sales on low end rods and reels. After 30-40 bucks to enter and parking if may not be much of savings.

i was lucky enough to get in free ..until i got hungry and had to mortgage a hot dog--all to see some bait chucking arrogant piece of shit LEO STAKOS and his butterball boyfriend acting like they were fishing royalty--LEO even had a white blazer on like he was the messiah..he stopped to talk to some girls as if he was one of Nsync..hahaha gearbox.lol--them i met chase --and it all becamse worth it. gotta give it to LEO he gillfucks fish for good money on TV....

Right next to the Toronto Sportsman's booth will be a table of tiers and casters - members of the West Hill Anglers Casting Club and of Winter Hatches Fly Fishing Club. Stop and say 'Hi', and find out about us and about casting get-togethers on the east side of Toronto. We will also have Fly Tying Symposium brochures. I will update this post when I find the exact booth #.
