Tracker boats

Hey everyone me and my father are on the look out for a new boat and I have started to really research. I am looking at Tracker, Legend and Lund and so far Tracker and Lund are the ones I am liking the most.

Does anyone have experience with either brand and opinions.

I have been looking at the TRACKER® Pro Guide™ V-16 SC and the Lund 1625 Rebel XL

Both sweet looking boats with some great options. I personally feel they are overpriced. Same size boat with comparable motor and trailer are thousands cheaper, also they are 100% Canadian made.

I bought a Legend at the end of 2008 and never had a problem with it. The marina (Harris Boat Works) I purchased form on Rice Lake is amazing, very helpful and knowledgeable. Actually fixed my trolling motor for me last year free of charge after the Motor Guide warranty had already expired.

I purchased the 16' Prosport SC model. It is as turn key as you can get. I bought it at the end of 2008 and got a great deal.

I was in the market for something smaller, namely a tiller model but because it was the end of the season I basically had to take what the had in stock so thats why I got a great deal. The same boat or something smaller like I wanted would have been more the following year. I am now glad I went with bigger side console model as Rice Lake can whip up in a hurry and get quite choppy. I feel very stable and comfortable. If you want a test drive this spring let me know I can take you out on Rice so you can see what it's like.

I would do some more research on tracker before purchasing, lund is a well known product I'm sure they have their share of issues however I seem to see read about more issues with tracker products. My next boat will be a lund but will most likely buy it in the states if the dollar is still or close to par.

I have a 16' Tracker Targa SC with a 60 Merc 2 stroke and I love it. Bought it in 2005 and have had NO issues with it. My buddy had the 16' Lund Rebel. I've fished both and like mine better. Wider beam and deeper V. I think his model of Rebel is just mod V. Both good boats. Just my prefer.

I have a Legend Prosport 16 tiller with a 30 merc 2 stroke and I love it!! no issues yet, but I've only had it 3 months.. It was basically a turn key unit, other than adding a 55lb Minn-Kota on the front. I was told to stay away from Tracker and G3, and E-tec motors.. Not sure why, but he's a tournament fisherman so I took his word for it.
