Trip to the Ganny

Hey All.
Just got back from another great trip to the Ganny. 4 nights and 5 days of all the salmon you could handle. Thought I would post my favourite shot of a nice big hen caught this morning. Not the only or the biggest fish but it was a beauty. THANKS FOR LOOKING

Nicely done Mike! funnynhow you have such nice waters tomfish up there and you drove out to Port Hope! Next time you're around the area, gimme a shout.

And yes, the runs down here have been nothing short of phenomenal!

Very nice man, looks like you got yourself a pretty good spot there. Ive always been too worried to make the trip down to port hope because I hate fishing shoulder to shoulder and in my mind it doesnt matter how many fish are in there, if its shoulder to shoulder its just not worth it. But it looks like you had a pretty good spot to yourself there.

Have A friend from Montreal That I meet in port hope. The ganny is the closest good river that is about half way between us...lol This is our third year going to the ganny for the last few days of the river.

Yes the fish are nicer, but a few hens down that way stocks me up for the season. Two large females and I am set. I would have had to keep eight up my way for that kind of roe. Always figure the less I kill the better.

Sure there is a lot of people, but we found tons of open water and hit tons of fish. We were their monday to friday and never fished a crowd, I have had busier days fishing the mouth at the beaver then any of the spots down in the trench. If a hole was crowded we just fished a different one. lol love mid week days off

hi there its beef nice fish but i have to agree with licencetopin the rivers by u r better i live in oshawa and fish all the rivers down here but travel up to georgion bay all the time to fish if u no where to go up there u c no people and lots of fish im actually going up wed and thurs for some bows good luck and tightlines

Again I was not saying the fish are not nicer up my way, but more that change is good. I fish these rivers everyday. Port hope is a nice change, bigger fish and half way from myself and my fishing buddy.

I like goin to the Ganny on a Friday night, just for a few laughs. Too bad it's such a zoo!!
