Urban Fishing Trip

Hey,

I would like to go fishing this upcoming weekend, but do not know where to go. In my zone, zone 16 the only fish are in season are crappie, perch, sunfish and on Saturday brook, brown and rainbow trout. I mostly practice catch and release, and I know on this trip I would. Any locations? I am not asking for exact coordinates, just a pond or river where I can go. Thanks.

Go to the Credit, all the way down from the 403 is OK to fish, I haven't seen too many trouts these past days but sure you can have lot of fun with suckers, they are there all the time. I went today for half an hour only (because started to rain :angry: :angry: ) and caught 2 decent suckers and 12 shiners...I counted them all LOL !!!

Thanks tangled. Truthfully I have no idea where the credit river is.. must sound like a complete noob. Is it legal to fish for sucker this time of the year? Where does the 403 cross the credit?

Mississauga, main intersection: Burnhamthorpe and Erin Mills, all the way down to Port Credit....suckers are not even listed as restricted species, don't worry; also, I've seen some guys catching catfish with dew worms at the port credit park....your choice buddy!!!

Angling specialties or Bronte Outdoors, there's also National Bait Inc. a few minutes away from the Mouth of the Credit.

Went out today for 2.5 hours at J.C Saddington Park and at Port Credit Park. I didn't get a single bite and none of the other guys fishing there did either. Too bad. I am going to try again next weekend.
